If you hold any travel rewards credit card, you are invited to apply. You must pay the application fee with the eligible travel rewards credit card.
Approved customers will receive Silver Elite, Gold Elite Plus or Platinum Elite Plus based on the equivalent elite status level with their current airline. Travel rewards credit card holders can only match to the Silver Elite tier, and hotel status holders can match up a maximum of Gold Elite Plus. There is no fixed deadline, but Kenya Airways and StatusMatch.com reserve the right to end or amend the offer at any time. It is recommended to apply as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
To participate in the campaign using your airline status, you need to apply, provide details of your other status, pay the associated fee and use a valid email address where we can communicate with you.
During the application process, we will also ask you for proof of your other program status (for example, a photo of your card), and you may be required to provide other personal details, such as passport or driver's license, to help us validate your information.
If you are applying for the match through your travel rewards credit card, you must pay the application fee with the eligible credit card.
You will be informed within three (3) business days following your completed application of the requested information and documentation whether or not your status match has been approved. Once approved, your new status will appear on your account within 3 business days.
No. Status Matches are calculated on the tier you hold at the time of application. If you are, for example, about to be upgraded to the next tier with your airline - we recommend applying for the Asante Rewards Status Match after you have that higher tier in your account. Only 1 match is allowed per person.
Refunds are processed immediately and will be reflect on your card statement usually within 7 days, depending on your bank.
No. Your frequent flyer status must be active and valid at the time of your application. Expired or inactive statuses are not eligible.
No. The Asante Rewards tier you receive will be based on the equivalent status you currently hold with another airline or travel credit card. You cannot apply for a tier higher than your existing status.
At the end of the 12-month period, your tier will be reviewed based on your travel activity with Kenya Airways and partners. You will need to meet the published qualification criteria to retain or upgrade your status. By doing the status match you will benefit from the reduced threshold to maintain status as the the requirements to maintain an elite /elite plus status is lower than what is required to attain the same status.
Yes. You can still earn higher status through flight activities or promotions, just like any other Asante Rewards member.
No. The Status Match is available to individual travelers only.
No. Status benefits only apply to flights taken after your new status has been activated. Retroactive claims are not supported.
We do not issue Plastic Cards. We offer digital cards that can be accessed by logging to your account on your mobile device and visiting the cards link on your mobile device. We are working on a few new releases, to make this downloadable to your Google and Apple wallets.
Your Tier Status is updated across systems used by KQ and SkyTeam and is immediately verifiable, once you update your Asante number when making bookings or while check-in on Kenya Airways or SkyTeam partner flights. Our SkyTeam partners can recognize your membership Tier for lounge access through the Lounge Access Management system used by them.
